I'm so used to "row" meaning "dispute" or "fight" that at first I thought you meant "A fact or statement used to support a proposition; a reason" (quoting Wiktionary) when you expressed surprise at "row" meaning "argument". Okay, that probably also relates to how I think of the word argument.
