Holy moly! Chancellor Biddy Martin!
Word came down a little while ago: Biddy Martin is the new chancellor. Who knows what the future holds, but she was surely the best of the finalists.

Biddy Martin has done some interesting things, and she is certainly a friend of the humanities, which is new. No matter what happens, it will be a new era, and she stresses that we can do things in different ways. All potentially positive. Mal sehen.
Yeah, it's like we have the anti-Wiley. I'm very hopeful.
I understand the caution, but so far, this looks like it could be a huge break for UW. She's not going to push tuition hikes, she'll work to repair relations with the state, she's not owned by Engineering.
