That should increase interest in California languages!
Actually, this came up in the context of Paul newman's book on fieldwork that is the top find on the Amazon page. I wonder what he thinks of this.
I hope the unintended consequence of this is a renewed interest in studying the indigenous languages of Northern California.
Now that I look at it, the Southern Pomo area does look rather ... dangly.
