OK, it wouldn't begin to be an explanation for her accent, but let's keep an eye on the stories flooding the internets that Sarah Palin used to (?) attend a church that practiced speaking in tongues. I doubt we will get audio on that, but she may prove to be more linguistically interesting than we realized way back when we started this thread!*

CNN has just reported this re: Palin and possible glossolalia:
"Palin's former pastor, Tim McGraw, says that like many Pentecostal churches, some members speak in tongues, although he says he's never seen Palin do so."
Thanks. Yeah, maybe this wasn't merely another Rumor on the Internets. Of course I'm more intrigued about how the substance of her prepared stump speech is turning out to be fiction, like keeping the pork for the Bridge to Nowhere for Alaska.
Speaking in tongues? My bet would be on Parseltongue. I heard her on the radio this morning for the first time and was surprised by the sibilance of her word initial 's'.
How could he see her speak ?
Are they (Pitt Bull)
lip readers ?
Speaking of which...
Mr Verb,
Does Norm Coleman speak in tongues too ? If not how do you explain this accent ?
(It is at the end of the short clip)
